Tokenomics

The agriiDAO tokenomics model has been designed to support our mission of contributing to global food security by empowering African agriculture through ICP, and at the same time ensuring the sustainability and scalability of the ecosystem.

There are two token types within the ecosystem:

$AGRII Tokens - The native utility token of the agriiDAO, $AGRII can be used:

• To facilitate all types of exchanges within the ecosystem from buying and selling agricultural products to accessing services.

• To participate in governance decisions, such as voting on how the ecosystem should evolve.

• As collateral for projects within the ecosystem locking tokens up for the duration of the project, the more projects funded the more tokens locked, reducing the available supply of tokens.

• As rewards for participating in our social rewards campaigns, sharing expertise, resources and helping others within the ecosystem.

• As contributions to stokvels to fund agricultural projects.

Asset Tokens – Represent real world agricultural assets (RWAA) that have been tokenised, these assets can be traded on agriiMarket, held as investments, redeemed for physical goods, or donated to support community initiatives or humanitarian efforts. Freeze-dried asset tokens earn farmers ongoing royalties on trading activity until the token is redeemed for the physical asset.
